GPC Makes Breakthrough in Arsenic‑Removal Technology for Anhydrous Hydrogen Fluoride, Cutting Arsenic Content to Below 3 ppm
Amid the nationwide China Quality Month campaign, Fujian Wengfu Lantian Fluorchem Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group, has achieved a major product‑quality upgrade. The company has conquered key technology for deep arsenic‑impurity removal, enabling stable control of arsenic content in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (AHF) below 3 ppm and meeting supply specifications for high‑end markets. On September 16, the first batch of 28 tons of low‑arsenic anhydrous hydrogen fluoride was loaded and shipped to Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province.

Anhydrous hydrogen fluoride serves as a core basic feedstock across the fluorochemical industrial chain, and arsenic content constitutes a critical performance indicator closely evaluated by high‑end customers. To satisfy stringent quality requirements from premium‑end markets, a special technical task force was set up, spearheaded by staff from Model Post for Party Members and top‑performing operators. Multiple rounds of testing and demonstration were carried out focusing on key links including rectification‑process optimization, precise impurity removal and full‑process quality control.
Through persistent R&D efforts, the enterprise has further refined its full‑chain quality assurance system covering raw‑material incoming inspection, in‑process production control and finished‑product ex‑factory testing. It has successfully broken through technical bottlenecks for low‑arsenic purification and consistently hit the ultra‑low arsenic target of ≤ 3 ppm. At present, all product performance parameters satisfy access standards for mid‑to‑high‑end markets such as new‑energy and lithium hexafluorophosphate sectors, and bulk‑supply capacity has been secured.
Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group has built substantial presence in the fluorochemical sector, operating multiple product lines for anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, industrial‑grade hydrofluoric acid and electronic‑grade hydrofluoric acid. As a fundamental feedstock for fluorine‑containing compounds, anhydrous hydrogen fluoride finds wide applications in refrigerants, fluoropolymers and organofluorine chemicals. This technological breakthrough in arsenic removal opens up new market opportunities for GPC’s fluorochemical offerings within high‑end application segments.
