From September 10 to 12, Agri Malaysia 2026 was held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. Wengfu International Trade Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group (GPC), attended the exhibition with a range of phosphate products. Leveraging Southeast Asia’s largest B2B agricultural trade platform, the company showcased its product strengths to step up marketing of phosphate products and explore markets in Malaysia and neighbouring countries.

As one of Malaysia’s most influential professional agricultural exhibitions, Agri Malaysia 2026 themed “Smart Farming for Future Agriculture”. It brought together over 400 exhibitors and 1,000 brands from Malaysia, China, the Republic of Korea, France, Thailand, Poland, Germany, India, Vietnam, Singapore, Turkey and other nations. More than 15,000 visitors were expected to attend. Fertilizer products drew the majority of attention, followed by pesticides, smart farming technologies, seeds and seedlings. The market demand is highly aligned with the phosphate products promoted by GPC at the event.

During the exhibition, Wengfu International Trade highlighted the application advantages of phosphate products in agricultural fertilization and crop nutrition. The team held multiple rounds of business negotiations with traders, distributors and growers from Malaysia and surrounding regions, gaining in-depth insights into local market demand, procurement practices and product access requirements for phosphate products. The team also visited booths of peer enterprises to learn about the regional competitive landscape and price trends.

“Demand for efficient and stable phosphate fertilizer products keeps rising in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. This exhibition gives us a more direct understanding of local channels and customers,” said a representative of the Wengfu International Trade delegation. Face-to-face communications helped the team establish initial contacts with multiple potential clients, some of whom expressed interest in further cooperation.

Participation in the Malaysian exhibition marks a concrete move for GPC to expand overseas markets and boost the global competitiveness of its phosphate products. Going forward, Wengfu International Trade will sort out client information and market feedback collected at the show, conduct follow-up communications, and strive to translate exhibition outcomes into firm orders. The company will continuously increase the brand influence and market share of GPC’s phosphate products across the Southeast Asian market.
