GPC Kairui launches mass production of KH5 iron phosphate for high-end power batteries
Recently, the 30,000 t/a iron phosphate production facility of GPC Kairui has completed process optimization and product iteration, successfully upgrading from general-grade KN3 to high-end KH5 iron phosphate. The full line operates stably with all product performance indicators meeting standards. This marks the high-end upgrade of the company’s iron phosphate products and lays a solid foundation for strengthening core market competitiveness and fully unlocking production capacity.

KH5 Iron phosphate Rolls off Production Line for Mass Manufacturing
This production conversion constitutes a key strategic move for GPC Kairui to respond to market demand and develop high-end new energy materials. Faced with multiple challenges including substantial technical gaps between old and new products, tight time window for technical transformation and stringent specification requirements, the company set up a dedicated technical transformation task force. Multiple departments including technology, production, quality inspection and equipment collaborated to optimize production parameters, adjust reaction systems, calibrate equipment precision and upgrade quality control procedures. Core technical bottlenecks such as particle size control and purification were overcome to achieve smooth product conversion.
Compared with KN3 for general applications, the newly developed KH5 achieves breakthroughs in crystal structure, purity control and powder properties via comprehensive process tuning. It precisely meets manufacturing requirements of high-end power batteries and large-scale energy storage cells. The mass-produced KH5 iron phosphate boasts outstanding advantages: higher purity, fewer impurities, uniform powder morphology and superior electrochemical performance. It can effectively improve the compaction density, cycle life and low-temperature charge-discharge stability of end batteries, bringing a substantial increase in product added value.
